Spark Plug Recommendations

I have an 06 6mt. coupe that is right at 29K and am gettung ready for a major tune-up. I'll be cahnging tranny as well as diifferential fluids, replacing rear brakes as well as belts. I know it's kind of early but, I think I'd like to do the plugs as well at the time. I've read about NGK Iridium plugs but am not sure if that's the best way to go. Anyone else has here has swapped out the plugs early on and gotten good results or, is this a crazy idea? Let me know if other plugs are better out there for my car at this point. Thanks for the input.

The stock plugs are rated at 100k miles.. Most recommend you do them early, like 60-80k miles, not 30k. Pretty overkill IMO

+1
I replaced mine at 55K in my 05 Sedan and 04 Coupe.....they looked fine too!!
But, I wanted to check my valve covers for leaks before my powertrain was up, so I did the plugs while I had the coil packs out.
I think replacing at 30K would be a waste.
And, I think the OEM plugs are fine unless you are going FI.

Cool, thanks for the 411. I'll make sure and check the coil packs before the powertrain runs out.
Mods please close this thread.

When you do change them out, stick with Denso or NGK, and don't get anything less than Irridium.
