Turning in my Lease
Hey guys, I will be turning in my lease in Feb and I just got the notice in the mail to sched my inspection. Its my first lease so I wanted some adivce.
I have damage to all 4 of my wheels 19in forge and they will need repair, I have alot of paint scrapped away from the bottom of my front bumper, some bad chips on the hood and tree sap stain on the driver door. I also have plugs in one of my tires. And my driver seat corner is torn or exploded from my largness.
Should I claim this to my insurance ($250 deductible). and will they cover all this?
or should I just have the work done before inspection and go out of pocket.
thanks in andvance. Belal

I'd say get the car inspected first. I've done this before with a Nissan that I leased and the inspector was a pretty cool guy. I had four bald tires, damages wheels, few different scrapes, stains, rips, etc. and all he made me do was get 2 new tires... It doesn't hurt to get the car inspected first. At least not in my experience...

Sounds good, kinda what I was thinking.

Trust me I did take care of it, until Someone smashed into the front right quarter panel of my car and wreked about the whole front of the car. I had to have it all replaced, I think $18k in damage overall. After that I pretty much lost all interest in keeping her perfect.

It sounds like Infiniti is pretty good about inspections, but my parents had horrible luck with Mazda on my mom's Mazda 3 lease.
They had everything repaired on their own for cheaper than what the inspection person wanted to pay and now Mazda is trying to sue my parents because they didn't pay for Mazda to do everything needed. Of course Mazda wanted to charge an arm and a leg so my parents had things done by reputable independent repair shops for a fraction of the cost. If they had repaired everything first it might have avoided this, but then you never know what is actually going to need repairing.
