My '03 G35 coupe w/ 75k miles recently flashed the Slip, VDC, and brake dash lights. They went away the same day, but are now back. I stuck my head under the car and there is a dark fluid slowly leaking down from the top of the diff. I haven't had time to jack it up yet and confirm.

Is there anything else above the diff that could be leaking? Or is it likely the diff?

jack it up and see where the leak is coming from.

i think its just not properly torqued. check it again .

if not just reseal it.

 

theres nothing above the diff but the surrounding rear sub frame and unibody ..

 

There should be a breather tube or outlet on top of the diff cover that the fluid may leak out of especially if the diff was overfilled.

 

When was the last time you change the diff Fluid?

It's suppose to be changed every 30K

Also it might be your diff bushing
G35/350z have been know for the diff bushing blowing out and that can also be
the dark stains you are seeing
