2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

Would you guys agree with this...

The new 2005 G35 Coupe manual shows tire specifications for 17" rims, 18" rims, and 19" rims.

Currently, the non wheel and tire package comes with 17's, the wheel and tire package comes with 18's.

Could one assume that since they are still offering both the 17's and 18's that the 19 inch wheels will only be available as an additional cost on top of the performance wheel and tire package? This would be similar to the M3 in which the 19 inch rim option is like a $1000 more.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

I don't think anyone knows what the deal is with the 19s. I hear about people placing orders for 05 coupes but how do they know what rims they are getting??? The order sheet says nothing about 19s. I'm assuming the 19s are standard with the sport trim.

19" come standard with the sport model(manual or automatic), that is the only way to get them.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

Probably the same as it is now where the MT's cant come with 17's and are standard with the 18's.
If you get an AT, you get 17's, or if you get the sport package, you go to 19's.

This is just a guess, could be wrong.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

i bet its the exact same as the 03/04 models, except the rims are bumped up 1"... which means no more 17's...

would this make sense??

z-tube / k&n drop-in / Eclipse AudioVideoNavigation 2454 / side-blinker mod

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

No as i have posted before:

base model auto = 17"
base model auto + tire and wheel upgrade = 18"
sport model (auto or manual) = 19" (manual only comes as sport model so you always get 19" if you order a manual)

Hey Mike, any 19" pictures come out? I'm interested in seeing them but yet have to. Kinda weird considering people are buying these cars without seeing the rims that they are getting.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe 19" Wheel Question

If that's any indication as to what the 19's will look like, I'll be more than happy sticking with my absolutely stunning stock 18's. Not to mention I've had numerous people come up to me complimenting me on my 20's (after explaining that these were the stock 18's several times I now say thanks and move along). For all of you NYC metro area drivers (myself included) best of luck with 19's, 18's are enough to worry about on those roads.
