Snapped engine cover bolts

Hey guys, I accidentally snapped the two lower bolts (closer to the bumper) that hold the engine cover down. I believe that they were over tightened some how. Any idea's how to fix this? I searched for this problem but didn't find much. Thanks.

Get new bolts? Or are they like stuck inside the hole and you snapped the top off?

A little of the top of the threaded part of the two bottom engine cover bolts snapped. There is still thread showing, just that the little part that snapped off is in the nut that was on it. Anyone who has taken off their engine cover should know what I mean.

If there's not enough showing to get pliers on, many auto parts stores sell easy outs which will remove these bolts. These engine cover bolts don't need to be tight just "Snug!" (Snug is 1/4 turn past hand tight)

I managed to snap one bolt that holds the metal part on the window when I was fixing my window. It's stuck inside the hole is there a way to get that out to? Cause you can't use pliers on it because it snapped straight with the hole.

Like I posted above, autoparts stores carry "Easy Outs". That's one sure way to remove broken bolts and easy too....

Another way is to tap a new hole, usually one size bigger.

A lot of times, you can just twist them off with a plier. There are many ways, just google them.

Okay, I actually had time to try and get these studs out. I only had to use locking pliers to get them out. Now I just need to buy replacement studs to put back in, which are like $2 each.
