hrm so i am in need of a new door mirror (passenger side)

i called a few infiniti dealerships around me, one quoted me at 282 w/o painting and the other quoted me at around 500 (w/ paint)
what would be the best way to go about getting a new door mirror? i realize if i get it from a dealership, they would sell me the whole thing combined (mirror, housing, etc.) is there any chance I could get the mirror with just the sail panel and housing? the mirror and all the electrical stuff is fine.
and would getting the mirror from an infiniti dealership be the best way to go? or should i try calling nissan dealerships etc.
basically, how much should i be looking to pay for a new mirror + paint
i can install it myself.
i'm in the tristate area (NJ) if anyone around me has a door mirror to sell!

The part comes unpainted from Infiniti part number K6301-AM865 (G35 Coupe Heated)without a mirror. Retail is $245, you can get it from some dealerships online sites for $185 (Pinnacle Nissan/Infiniti). I am guessing paint for it couldnt be much more than about $100.

Car-Part.com is a nationwide search of most junkyards in the US. The average price for a mirror on car-part.com is about $150 for a painted mirror but you have to find it in your color.

Mirror hunt....!

It is possible you could order your mirror from our sponsors at Riverside Infiniti 1-800-919-8130 and they could have their paint shop take care of the paint....call and ask Tony. Good Luck!

Dealerships dont paint car parts, that is what autobody shops do. Call up a few local autobody shops and ask them for an estimate.
