On my way to work this morning, driving on the Sprainbrook Parkway, Northbound, in middle lane was one of the prettiest G35 coupes I have ever seen. Silver with wide chrome rims, I am not particularly a fan of chrome rims but this car was clean and glistening!

I watched the way the driver handled his car. He was obviously a good driver knowing how and when to use those 280 ponies. Both of us were trying to get past those who were driving but did not really want to get to work.

Well an opening finally emerged and we kicked up a notch but kept it civil. Well a little over a 100 is civil to me. Then it hit me, man its sure is nice to see your car on the road especially when your driving a G too. I still get a slight rush whenever I see another G, especially a clean one.

After about 18 miles of admiring each others cars and watching the road carefully I exited and we both gave a thumbs up. I think I can say we both were like "Man that guy loves his G and keeps it clean too!

Well I drive an Emerald mist sedan, cause I got small kids but thumbs up to you coupe drivers that is one sweet car!!

i know what you mean....i can spot a G from a mile away...both coupe and sedan....i love those LEDs in the back and those beautiful HID headlights....

 

when i first got my car about a yr ago it was nice to see my car every now n then.
but now i hate seeing coupes.It seems like everyone has one in Boston. I see atleast 15 coupes a day and makes me really angry

 

Definitely. i can pick one out as long as its in sight and i tend to want to catch up to take a few more looks, sometimes i forget im driving the car myself [img]/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif[/img]

am i the only one or does anyone else get a rush when they see themselves driving in a set of say.. reflective windows. happens to me all the time in shopping centers =P

 

when i wasn't driving my G around, i used to see other G35's and say "wow i wish i had that car....oh wait, i DO have it. hooray for me"

 

I agree with all of you, I can not keep my eyes off any G I see. My wife is so sick of me saying "LOOK, there's another Coupe!" Or," why don't you get new sedan when your lease is up"

The first time anyone else was in my car when I gave another g35 the thumbs up, they were like "what the hell are you doing??"

I still try to give the thumbs up whenever I can... so rarely do I get it in return though =(

Well said Darryl.....Yes I still get a tingle when I see another G, or even a Z..

What makes an even bigger impression on me when I'm driving is seeing that another G driver obviously loves his ride, and will wave back at ya.

The 'love' and 'sharing' is very prevalent on our forums here, and is what makes our site very special.

It's funny, we were driving to lunch and I was telling my friend how I never see any G coupes, and then all of a sudden in the last 2 days I've seen soooo many. I do get excited to see them but then I get a little bummed out because I see they are all auto's. I wish Infiniti would limit the number of auto's they sell so they don't be like all the Bimmers in my area with their poser automatic trannies.

Here in Melbourne, FL.. I see between three to five G35 Coupes and countless Sedans in a five minute trip to the store. At first it was neat, now it's "Dang, yet another G!" Of course, Mustangs and Corvettes will still dominate in numbers because they've been around for so long. I personally know of where six other G coupes are parked just in walking distance from my home. One thing that I'll probably never get tired of is pulling up to a new F-150 (or another large pickup), look into its reflection and see my own G35C.

 

Yep, still get a kick out of seeing the G coupe. I love driving by big reflective windows too. I'll probably never tire of looking at the G coupe.

After 4 months of owning the car... I still get the lookback effect when leaving it in the parking lot at work (especially when it's nice and clean). I don't see too many G's where I live, and when I see a clean G, I still admire its beauty.

I get a lot of "nice car" comments still here and there... The funniest of my experience still has to be an old lady (60+) checking out the Brembos wondering what they are... =)

Of course I do... In fact, a few weeks ago, here is what happened...

I got off the freeway. As I was driving over the overpass, I saw a sweet Ivory Pearl G Coupe in front of the truck in front of me. The truck in front of me was going kind of slow, and I wanted to give the fellow G owner the thumbs up. So I went around the truck to catch up with the other G. I forgot about the sharp bend in the road up ahead, and my lane was about to end, (and the guy in the truck punched it when I jumped into the left lane) so I ended up power sliding through a 35mph curve at 80+ [img]/w3timages/icons/shocked.gif[/img] in front of the truck.

After I recovered the slide, I saw a cloud of smoke in my rearview mirror. I'm pretty sure the G I was trying to catch up ahead saw the whole thing, because he slowed down until I caught up. After I gave the thumbs up out the sunroof, he sped off.

I wonder if the guy slowed down, because he wanted to see if I was going to recover. I hope he understood that my thumbs up was me saying "nice car", not "I survived" [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]. So all in all, I had too much adrenaline when I saw another G coupe, and in the process of trying to give the thumbs up, I almost killed myself on a mountain road. Thank god for VDC [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

i usually can spot them or hear them, and as i drive by (usually only when im not in my G) i yell "WOWWWW NICE CAR!!!"
