I've found a used differential (complete pumpkin) from a 2007 G35 S auto with 3.7 FD. So I've searched a lot but I did not find a 100% positive answer yet.

I have a 2003 Coupe 5AT with the 3.3 VLSD differential. I know that the 6MT have 3.5 differential and a different pumpkin because of gear size inside. I know I can swap a complete 6MT pumpkin without problem (except for the cruise control).

I've also found that if I had a 6MT pumpkin I could have swapped the gears from a 2007 G35S without problem.

Now, since I'm auto, can I swap the complete 2007 pumpkin into the bac of my 2003 ??

Some says yes but without proofs and some only talks about gears swap

EDIT: Maybe also confirm that the 2007 drive axles would fit on my 2003 ??

I was wrong...the 350Z (2007) doesn't have the 3.69 it has the 3.53

the 2007 G35 AUTO does have the 3.69 though

nobody knows if it will interchange yet

where did you find the diff?

I want to at least try the swap...see if it is a direct swap

 

no problem for the Z info because it's from a 2007 G35 S...

Found it in a local ad from a salvaged G35 S. I'm still dealing for a price but I will most probably buy it and try it. If it doesn't fit I saw another ad for a 2003 6MT diff real cheap that I can use for the pumpkin. I'm still awaiting news from the seller.
