hey guys,
i have an issue i think...
My engine fan is acting weird, it is the big one to cool down the engine,
it doesn't matter cold start or warm start it comes on and never shuts down!! unless i turn off the engine...
i live in Canada and it is -25 Celsius in here and i go to my car in the morning as soon as i start the engine the big fan comes on and i drive it for 10 20 minutes and it doesn't matter, it just does not stop.
did this happen to anybody? and solutions? ideas?

There's a recent warranty extention on the radiator fan. Not sure if it applies to the engine fan also.

 

I have the same ****! it tripped me out at first but then I realized the temp isnt going up or down its stable so im over it at this point. Its just annoying to hear it when im stopped at a light.

 

is your AC always on?

 

its not the AC fan its the radiator fan that turns on, and the extended warranty is for fans that break and dont turn on, not stay on all the time I believe, as long as it turns off when you turn your car off I believe your in the clear.

^ I never noticed that, I know the AC fan turns on, but no my AC is never on, San Francisco weather doesnt permit AC use, but my radiator fan is always on. I was told it could be a air bubble in the coolant, but the coolant would just circulate the air out eventually and its been 3 months so doubt its that.

 

yes, i think it is the Fan which comes with the AC, but regardless of my ac it is on all the time and i think it might give stress to engine as well, plus i am trying to warm up my car in the morning and it blows -20 degree air to the engine,
i think it started after i got the new engine,
and it is annoying to have the fan all all the time!

have you tried flushing the coolant?
i am going away for xmas and will definetly go to dealer to get it fixed when i come back...

 

if i had to guess id say it could be wired wrong or defective??..sounds like its getting a constant power..might just be defetive..gl

 

i still have this fing problem. once i took it to dealer and they said it is normal!! however it was summer and now it is -15 outside and it comes on as soon as i turn on the car and doesn't shut down till i turn the car off!!!
ac is off...
so annoying!!

I have the same problem and it just started a couple of weeks ago... Aways on turning to the max! i hate it so annoying HELP!!!?

 

PROBLEM SOLVED!

apparently, the wires going to the heat sensors for the fan were bad, and they repaired the wires. i thought it would be under extended warranty but apparently they do not cover wire problems. but i am happy it is solved!
