You can go with the Ipod interface, tho it doesnt charge your phone it still works just as well as it would with an iPod and you can also listen to Pandora if you have the app.

I use a Phillips cassette transmitter ($9.99 at Wal-Mart) and it works GREAT, no static at all unlike those expensive Griffin FM transmitters ...

... but then again I also have a cassette player in my G35

I had a Scosche Ipod connector installed, plugs into the back of the stereo and runs up through the small storage compartment above the stereo. Shows up as a SCH-001 channel under radio and works great.

What'd you pay for the Scosche? And do you have a link?

How well do these work? Is there static? How is the quality of the sound?

Thanks.

I honestly don't remember the exact part I had put in, I bought it wholesale from my friend's dad. It plugs in direct to the stereo and just plays what's on my Iphone/Ipod. It doesn't charge and I preferred it that way. The charging one was also $50 more. It didn't cost me more than $50-$90 plus install. $100+. Perfect sound quality though. I'll see if I can find out more information, it was installed a while ago.

I plan to put in the PAC AAI-NIS2 (http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=24) in my '06 coupe so I can listen to my iphone. It's not specifically built for the iphone/ipod (doesn't charge) since it's just installs an AUX Input but I like it because its versatile and I'd rather be able to control my songs from the iphone itself rather than the car's head unit.

I actually installed the PAC in my car last night. It was a simple install and by tapping into the cigarette lighter, I can now charge my phone in the car. The sound quality is infinitely better than my old Monster FM transmitter. If you check out ebay, you can find a PAC and the RCA Ipod Cable that you'll need for under $85.00. It's simply plug and play harnesses, so the install isn't too bad at all.

I had the FM transmitter and it's a pain. Not bad sound, but finding a station to use when traveling wasn't fun. It would change over the miles.
I have the PAC in my 07 coupe and it works fine. I think it charges too but I haven't traveled that far yet.

Yeah I was looking at the install on myG35mods.com and it doesn't look too hard. I just hope I don't screw up any of the dash when i'm taking it apart.
