mix match tires

So i went home to Los Angeles to visit my family. My rear tires were bald so i had to replace fast. So got some OEM Potenza for cheap but my fronts are TR-1. So can i keep the TR-1 till i can replace my fronts with OEM or not drive aggressive at all.

i used to have 4 different brands of tires on each of my 20" wheels lol didn't have any issues

I would not recommend mixing and matching any more than two wheel brands BUTT, you should be fine with your mix. I'm currently running Toyo's up front and Falken's in the rear. So far, after 8K, not a single problem.

As long as you have the same speed rating and same tires on the same axles than you have nothing to worry about. The most important thing is the Speed Rating. If the speed ratings Match than you have nothing to worry about. As long as they are close you have nothing to worry about.

The Load rating is also important. The replacement tires should equal or exceed the recommended load rating.

ya i was also wondering about this. there was another user complaining about VDC going on from time to time when cornering. he possibly got significantly different tires tho.

right now i have summer and winter tires. for my summers they are all pilots, and i'm probably going to replace the rear tires with something cheaper because i can't afford to keep going through tires that cost like 300 bucks a pop and have a low tread wear rating. i can get similar quality tires for under or about 200 that have a 20-30% higher tread rating.

to clarify, i don't have both summers and winters on, just the winters right now. i was just saying i have 2 different sets

Check out Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. You can get them a little under $200 in most cases/sizes and they outperform most $300 tires.

Tire Rack recommends not having 2 different tires on your car, but they sell tires for a living....LOL I don't see a problem cause I've done it in the past with B-stones & Michelins....
