drifting?!?
drifting?!?
I'm just wondering. How come I always see people drift the Z but not the G35 and I just wanna know the differences between those 2 cars. so if someone can be kind enough to explain it to me that will be great! I admit I'm a noob but I'm learning!!

Well, that's an Accord in the picture. If you can drift an Accord, I'm more than sure you can drift a G.
Maybe the 350Z's being drifted are base Z's that doesn't have VDC. VDC does retrict drifting, so maybe that's why people don't drift their G's.

Ask and you shall recivee
IMO, the G35 is much better car in terms of Drifting. the 350Z would be a much better car for Gripping.

After a few laps, it was time to drift the G35. The very responsive steering and ample 280 horsepower allowed the G35 to drift fairly well. The car did appear to want to plow through the corners however and significant effort was needed to break rear traction. While driving the vehicle hard, our driver found it easiest to drift simply through using horsepower. 3rd gear was about right for most drifting at the Drift Session track, as 2nd gear would slow the vehicle down too much to make use of momentum. Surprisingly 3rd gear still contained significant power to spin the rear wheels and induce a drift in this vehicle without kicking the clutch.

Re: drifting?!?
i would agree with you there. the g35 tail has a crazy tendancy to break traction. it is worse then the mustang i used to own! drift cars need a very good suspension to bring it back once they start slidding, but the 350z, has xrazy grip. even tho both have independent sus, i think the 350 grips more...

Re: drifting?!?
I think the simple answer is simply that there are more Z's out there than G's. On top of that, the age group for Z's vs. G's is a big difference. Add on that A Z is going to be punished more than a G due to sport vs. luxury factor. I agree that a G would probably make a better physical drifter, but its to nice of a car to do it too! Its the same reason why you see more civics racing than TL CL or whatever, chepaer car, less to lose less to risk and not as guilty of a feel when you punish a 20k car to a 40k car. Honestly I don't really know which would make a better drifter but I think the number of drifters per car model comes down to this
(G=luxury=bigger price tag=older driver=more sensible driver) < (Z=sport=more affordable=younger=less sensible)
