well, is your temp guage reading ?

is it going to H?

if soo reflush your radiator untill you see ONLY water coming out.

have your car run while doing it as well.

some people fill it up and let it run for 2-3 mins and redrain.

is it a oem thermo or a autozone or other retailer store thermo? if so then it opens at a 180-190. sometimes it doenst even open. i recommend you buying another thermo at the dealer or a good thermostat.

you probably have an air bubble which is causing the problem.

if so

1. jack up your car (hill status) then take off your radiator cap and run your car.
2. leave your car running and take off your radiator cap at normal steep.

if heater not working that means = the heater core is clogged up and needs a flush. Try to remove it or disconnect it and run a water hose through one of the hose inlets - use a high pressure gun. Be sure to have the other outlet disconnect it as well.

but the thermo stat also can be the probably cause if the coolant isnt going through the heater isnt gonna work.

also make sure you fill your radiator full. cause it needs to be full so the heater core can work.

my best guess is reflush your heater core cause its probably plugged up.
while youre at that get new thermo and reflush your system yo! xP

thx so much. the car is now blowing warm air.!lol
but one more question. when i was mixing coolant and water 50/50, i didn't mix them in a container that has a CAP. so my left over coolant is sitting in a 2.5 gallon water bottle with a hole in the top. I squished in tissue in the hole so that air can't get in.
is it ok if i put the left over in a empty coolant bottle and use it for next time?

Welcome to Driver Whoisthis, glad your heater is blowing warm air now. Keep in mind radiator fluid is poison, take the tissue out and cover the lid with duct tape or find a secure bottle to keep it in. ( 1/2 gal milk bottle)

yeah but, i advise you to use new coolant though.

if something gets into your coolant without you knowing and it gets into your radiator/engine its not worth your money when you could have bought a new coolant for less then 15 bucks.

just buy the premixed one.

peak 50/50 or
prestone 50/50.

as they are already premixed inside.

they're pretty cheap.
