Question Researching for my 1st G35

Hello all..I have just joined the forum, but have been reading for a few weeks now. Almost more information than i can process..I am looking to buy my first G35...Would like a coupe with the M/T, and as i have read, at least a 2005 model.

This oil consumption issue really has me wondering if i am willing to lay down this kind of (canadian) money for what seems to be a real controversial issue. I printed out the TBS on this and went to the dealer today to see if i could talk to someone in the service department....HAHAHAHAHAHHA what i heard (in a nut shell ) was its no big deal....

I have searched the site for more answers but there is alot!!!!! of stuff to read , so i was hoping that i could hear from all of you (again) on this and any other points of this car that i may want to look closer at.

Thanks for the help-------------Hopefully a future G35 owner.

When I was searching for a used G I ended up with '04. '05 only adds MP3 support and '06 adds projector headlights. '04 was thousands cheaper. You can always add MP3 support yourself and if you really want you can put in the headlights and still have $ to spend.

It's already 2010... might as well go for an '07, the last year it was made... unless you find an '06 for a super bargain.

Most would agree the '06 and '07 models are the same, but I highly doubt they are in every single way "identical." People just see differences between obvious listed features or something easily visible.. but you never know everything that engineers tweaked.. unless you're one of them. Hence my preference for the very last model year... i'll never end up wondering what i'm maybe "missing."
