tape on the edge of the doors

anyone leave this tape on? Seems like it keeps the doors from getting chipped if the unthinkable happens (smack the door into something).

What do you guys think?

My coupe was on the showroom floor when I bought it so whatever was on it when shipped had been removed. I wouldn't leave tape on the doors, think about what you're doing when you open the door, and don't park close to anything that might damage your doors. Do this on a regular basis and it will become second nature, you won't need tape....

Yeesh... never said I hit my door on anything, just asking if anyone else has this on their car. Thanks for the advice on how to open a door though... will there be a test on it later?

Thanks c, guess I will pull it off.

are we talking about the PPF(paint protection film) that comes on the vehicle during transport? or the thick clear vynal that is applied to certain areas to prevent rock chips and whatever? the OP description isnt very clear and i think everyone is thinking of something different

It's nothing more than a clear bra that is wrapped around the edge of the door that prevents minor dings...

just leave it on until it begans to peel off. once that starts to happen peel it off and walah.

be careful and tell people to be careful when people get in the back.

or be like me and dont allow any1 in the back
