I use 2x4s nailed together, one half the length of the other to create a preramp for my standard Sears 3 ton garage jack to fit under the vehicle. I use a Harbor Freight jack pad on the cup portion of the jack to prevent damaging the front crossmember's finish. Hockeypuck or piece of wood works fine. I put the front jackstands on the framerail about lined up with the catalytic converter and have no problems. On the rear, lift it up by the rear diff. You can place the jackstands on the LCA right where the lower spring perches are if you're not taking apart the suspension. I actually use the stock pinch rails slightly forward of the oem jackpoint with Harbor Freight jackstands and their red jackstand pads. They can be carefully lined up longitudinally without damaging the rails if the vehicle is slowly lowered onto the stands. Hope this helps.
