weird freeway noise

So I was driving to work today on the freeway listening to music, when I hear a weird ticking sound, fast thumping sound coming from the front end. The weird thing is the noise only starts after about 78mph, and at 85-90 mph the car sounds like its gonna fall apart. I dont think the noise is coming from the engine, but more the front end. Kind of sounds like the radiator fan is hitting something or something clicking with the tire, but everything seems normal.

What kind of rims do you have? I've seen people have problems with certain rims where the aluminum looking paint starts to flake off the rims at one end, and at speed, the chunks of hanging paint will brush against the rotors or caliper and make a ticking noise on each rotation of the wheel. If you have factory rims, this is probably not the case.
