I mounted mine exactly the same. Easy to glance at it and still see the road ahead of you. Plus it looks really clean.

Nice HU btw... now just swap to the JDM DD kit...

^Working on it! I just got the Metra because there was no wait time. My OEM CD player didn't work and I hate driving without music. Gonna swap next year probably. This summer is mostly handling mods.

OMG mine too! It plays CD's, but it has a nasty habit of skipping and not playing CD's sometimes. I just bought a cd the other day, unwrapped it, put it in, and it skipped like crazy. Would not play.

I can't wait to swap to aftermarket HU / speaker setup. I really don't like the sound of the Bose setup. Way too much bass and treble output, not near enough midrange. I'm just waiting to save up a bit and get the JDM kit. I cant deal with the metra kit. It just looks too cheap IMO.

Velcroed on with snap velcro and connected to a hard wired power adaptor in the cubby.

Good location but I think friction mounts are much better. Those suction mounts come off too easily.

Friction mount > Suction mount

Friction mount + Driver side corner ----> best combo imo

They cost less than $15.
