Unhappy ****, this car is a heavy drinker!!!!!

Just bought my 03 Coupe about 15 days ago and omgoodness, this car is a gas guzzler man... I used the cheap gas, cuz I'm cheap and set the odometer to check how many mpg this thing would do. If I'm right, it took 17 gallons to fill up the tank, and I only got 258 miles on it, ****, that's 15mpg bro...ridiculous.
And is MT, supposedly it would be even more economic than an AT. I didn't drive that fast or gassed it that hard cuz at first, I was scared of how fast the car was since by other car was a little turbo tercel. Anyway, how the heck can I save some gas? would a Z-tube save me some? And the worst part man, my wife was with me and saw my face of desperation, she said: "I told you you shouldn't buy it" Shut up woman, from now on our primary car will be the Camry...

one of the biggest and easiest things to check is your tire pressure. Even a few pounds off can make a difference.

First of all, if you have a 6mt, the manual states you may only use the regular gas "temporarily". And to replace it with premium ASAP.

And you should also watch your heavy foot on the regular cheap gas.

How much more expensive is premium in your city? Over here, it's only .20 cents more. That's like barely $2-3 bucks more per fill. (I don't wait til it's empty to fill). Is 3 bucks really that much? lol

Our cars HATE cheap Gas. Not to sound mean but you bought an Infiniti which is some what of a high class car, with high class comes high prices "That includes gas". If you love your car, I would stop being cheap and put the proper gas in.

You guys are right, from now on 3 bucks more won't kill me...I'll start putting Premium but what else should I do to save some gas? I don't have a heavy foot...but I'm looking at the G as a hooker now, it gives me pleasure, looks sexy but dang, its eating my money for just a quickie. I go to work and come back, here in FL is as flat as Paris Hilton and I still only got 15mpg. I think I'm gonna do a tune up next weekend, see if things get better.

Beautiful rims man, and your car is lowered perfectly.

^Thanks, I have the 19inch Forged wheels going up for sale pretty soon, and some lowering springs. As far as getting better gas mileage, shift at lower RPMs. Make sure your car has had a tune up. I have gotten 23-25 MPG and I haven't done a tuneup yet, I'm still waiting for some other parts to come in. Other than that just enjoy the car.

23mpg? Sounds comforting...I've been taking off on 2nd gear, don't know if that makes any difference though. I found the 1st gear to be useless unless I really want to take off quick.

Na, I would not recommend that, I hate first gear too, but I still use it. Try shifting at, about 2300 and see how that goes.

2003 5AT, romping on it just about everywhere I get 16. I will be doing trips to San Jose and LA in the summer, I'll see what I can get with that. My tank usually lasts me about 250 miles. My GTI had a 13 gallon tank, and would go for 330+, lol.

You should've bought a Civic if you wanted to save gas.

if you are going to cry about gas mileage, then you need an electric car, or a hybrid car, or a car that does 35mpg, like a 4 cylinder Toyota corolla.

Now Try this.. Fill up the car, and drive on the highway for 4-5 hours, i garuntee you that you will get 29mpg.. that should make you feel better.

Cheap gas on a premium car.. sheesh..
