I have the same problem, but I never got it fixed, I just give it a very small amount of gas when I start my car up. BUT I did have it diagnosed, it can be one of two things,
1. throttle body needs to be cleaned
2. idle re-learn needs to be done

New MAF yesterday and a nice strong start this morning. No rpm drop until she started warming up. Also had the injectors cleaned and she is purring.

My car has been doing this as well... Being in Edmonton it is getting COLD. At -30 it will die but on the second start up, it's perfect.

I'm going to try all of methods here (Clean MAF, Clean the throttle body, and use the gasline antifreeze) and see what happens.

Hopefully all goes well!

Thank you!

It's not too bad and it happened for the first time today. I shouldn't have parked outside but oh well. It's supposed to get down to -34 on Christmas Day . She's in the garage now . I'll have to do some maintenance this summer for sure. You should come down this summer .

Thanks man, Mine been parked for a while. I started it today -25 *C had a rough start but once she fired up it was no problem at all. Its also parked outside. Not sure to why yours is going this. Any CEL codes?

I will for sure, Hopefully if I have my wrap done in time I'll be there for the UC meet. I'm considering a turbo kit from Sasha as well. So I would have to come down for the install/tune.

Is it still your DD? Any trouble on the snow this year? lol

I had this issue and swapped batteries, it starts good now. Just extremely noisy until it reaches operating temp.

Does your block heater make any sound at all? Every other car I've had made a slight whirring sound or at least an electrical sound by the element, the G is silent. I'm not sure if its even working.

Not looking forward to this weeks forecast in Edmonton either :/
