Hi temp lighting gel. You can buy it from here. This will allow you to change individual hash marks etc instead of having to go with the color of the actual led you covert it tooOriginally Posted by Ghayes23
How do you change the color, Are you using lighting gel?
i didn't use lighting gel. i used colored transparency film and backed it with white flat top 5mm LED's. retrofitted extra led's to the cluster base for more lighting.

Can I ask, when after you take off the cluster panel, before you take off the cluster face, you have to take off the indicators of speed, gas, temperature and RAM right? how did you take off the indicators??
i have no idea and so scary to try to pull them out cause they look like so easy to broken, please teach me how to remove them.

this was a spare cluster i bought off ebay from a 2003 G35 coupe, automatic w/ navi and about 62K on the clock.
i need a better camera. the red is true red in person. where ever it may seem that there are hot spots, it's very uniform to the human eye. don't mind the different colors here and there. just wanted to show what can be done, i.e. the blue odometer LCD, white gear indicator LCD, white temp needle. the blue odometer LCD is actually more of an aqua blue than represented in the pics. the first pic shows how crisp the white is. don't know why the camera made it more yellow in the subsequent pics.
well, without further ado, here's the finished pics:
