Re: Exclusive factor

Im from the Bay Area and I dont see an overwhelming number of G's. Even if I did, I didnt buy the car for other people's opinions of whether my car was exclusive enough. My G definetly is better than the car I used to drive: a mid 90's bmw 3 series....talk about exclusive....they must of made 2 million of those things. The G still rocks.

Re: Exclusive factor

In SoCal (Orange County), you'd be hard-pressed to not run into a handful of G's on the 405 or 5 freeways.... they're getting too "normal" to see on a daily basis...

I agree w/ the thread starter, when you have a car offering the kind of value the G35c does, & at its price, inevitably it's going to sell well. If you want exclusivity, then get a car that costs more than $50 K ie M-B AMG cars.

Re: Exclusive factor

Exclusive factor..... Oh Yeah!!

This car is still exclusive.
To be technical - exclusive is accepting or soliciting only a socially restricted patronage (as of the upper class) b : STYLISH, FASHIONABLE c : restricted in distribution, use, or appeal because of expense
There are three reasons why you see so many G's in your neighborhood / on your way to work.

1. You live in a good neighborhood.
2. Five people live in an apartment and one has a G. (The car payment is higher than the house payment)
3. You are looking out for G's. (when I was looking for 280z 's on the road I was amazed at how many I saw.)

When you think about 2 door 2+2 sports cars there aren't that many. The reason more people are able to drive a G is because of it's price (it allows an eight year car payment).

I have waited for years to get this car. Infiniti listened to the car reviews and fixed the complaints. I think that exclusive is in the eye of the beholder. I know my 2005 will be exclusive to me as no one can appreciate what this car really is.

Re: Exclusive factor

Umm, from what I heard. The '05 G35c's don't get the BREMBO brakes. I'm glad I got one of the LAST 04.5's....exclussive!

Around my area, i see tons of sedans and coupes.... every single one of them is either black or silver. I'm glad i got the red... makes me stand out from the crowd around here.

Re: Exclusive factor

Your info is not accurate. In fact it is a rumor.
Why would Infiniti drop Bembo after Honda and Cadillac pick them up? Those are the same people who said no 300 hp and no interior re-design. Also, the same with the pics of the ugly rims saying those are in the '05.
People who say Nissan Corp is dropping Brembo will also say Nissan Corp is dumb. I don't think they are dumb at all they do their research and no what the consumer / car reviewers want (hence 2005 changes). So I'm sorry that you didn't wait for a '05 but that doesn't mean you need to spread rumors.

Re: Exclusive factor

Yeah, why would they drop the Brembos when its the non-Brembos that have all the troubles? They haven't had to warranty my Brembos yet, but from what I understand their OEM brakes are being replaced every 10K miles under warranty.
