Exclusive factor

I've been reading a lot here about how you can't walk out of your house without tripping over a G coupe. Or everytime you get on the highway you can't flick ashes out of your window without seeing a G coupe. Now I think this is a legit complaint because everyone wants to have the only one in their neighborhood but isn't it a little hypocritical and unrealistic to want that?

The board gets into these car battles about whose car is faster/quicker/better looking and everyone reps for the G and calls it the best value for the money. Well if it is the best value for the money people are going to start buying it! Duh.

How exclusive is any car with a base price of 30K. I don't think cars start getting exclusive until it hits 50K.

I mean I see a few Coupes around my area but in comparison to how many cars I see from other brands they are still fairly exclusive. I still see way more Mercedes (all types), BMW (all types except M3's and the 7 series), Mustangs, Acuras, Corvettes, Eclipses, Volvo S series. I don't see too many Audi S4's but they look just like the A4's anyway. I also see way more G sedans also.

So even though you may not have the only G in your part of the neighborhood they are still fairly limited.

And those of us getting the 05's will be even more exclusive because we get the first significant changes!............

Re: Exclusive factor

I guess if you live on an Infiniti lot you will be tripping over them. I am on LI and still only see a few a day. I can still go for days without seeing a coupe.

Re: Exclusive factor

I'm the only one in my area. People think I parked a spaceship next to them when I fuel up. I drive the toll road every day and only see like one a month if I'm lucky. If I head over to Chicago (60 miles away) then I see a few here and there.

Re: Exclusive factor

According to AAA, the average new 2004 car sells for $30,800...........when G35c sell 2,800 per month and all G models combined selling 6,500+ with over 140,000 sold since launch.............exclusive.

The 90-93 Q45 was exclusive with 50,000 sold, the 2002-2004 Q45 with less than 9,000 sold is really exclusive

Re: Exclusive factor

70000/16,000,000= 1 out of every 250 new vehicles sold, so 1 out of every 2000 vehicles on the road today should be a G model on average.
It will take 3 years to double density assuming the sale sales rates continue.............very very rough calculations.

We do these calculations to plan for all the G after warranty business as the older Q decline from our customer base.

Unforunately a simple V6 can't replace the repair revenue of a complicated heavy V8, so we hope the sales improve even more...........it may take 2 or 2.5 or 3 G models to generate the revenue of a single old Q [90-93].

We like it when people abuse their new cars, that way the second or 3rd owner will have lots more to repair.

I'm in Vegas and I'm out on the road all day long, but I only manage to see 1 or 2 a day.

Re: Exclusive factor

I'm still not seeing very many coupes in MN but starting to see more sedans. I could literally go a few weeks without seeing another G coupe. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a few more on the road. Exclusivity is nice but I also like to admire this car in motion, which is kind of hard to do when you're driving it.

Q45tech, move your business to NJ. You can send your grandchildren through college.

I'm in Raleigh Nc and I see, on average, 1 every two days... normally one of the same G's that I had seen earlier in the week.

Re: Exclusive factor

One nice thing about more G's on the road is that it gives aftermarket companies greater incentive to make more/ better performance products for our cars.

Down here in San Diego you can't go far before seeing a couple. In fact I think my neighbor just bought a sedan.
