Sup g35 drivers... Need some expert insight...

I am currently on the verge of buying a used 2007 Infiniti g35 coupe. I have been doing tons of research online about the g35 from 2003 to 2007 models. I went to at least 5 different dealerships of infiniti and drove a alot of coupes to get the feel for all types of g35 models used and new.

So I decided to check online with actual drivers of the g35. I have been reading a few threads over the last week and decided to make an account to ask you experts on the g35 a couple questions. Some specs on the car:

07 g35, 3.5L V6 SMPI, 21,200 miles on it, the asking price is $22,000. From what I was told it was in an accident that damaged the front driver side wheel and it had to be replaced. There is NO warranty on the car, but I was thinking since its only done 21,200 miles its rather new. I got the carfax report on it.

I never bought a g35(or a used car for that matter) before so I was wondering what is the first thing I should be doing? What should I be looking for? It is a very very clean car outside and inside. My concern is how well it will run over the course of a few years. Hopefully I will get valuable feedback. Thanks to all that contribute.

Car is a great car and will last you a long, long time. Keep up with regular maintenance. Get it checked out by a reputable mechanic/body shop. You'll be fine. Do some searching around the site for things you may want to keep your eye out for when buying a G. There is a$$ loads of info in this forum.

BTW. That car will ride/run/look 1000000x better when you get rid of those nasty konig wheels and just throw some OEM 19's on... Geesh, those made me throw up in my mouth a little.

The car was auctioned off after being hit so I dont get the warranty remaining on it. Do you think 21 k miles for 22,000 is a good price with No warranty and it being a damaged car to start with?

Miami FL. The entire car was Aligned frame, inside, all re-done etc. The only thing I am uneasy about is the warranty... But since its a fairly new car I dont believe I should have anything to worry about for a few years.

yes you are right thats why I took it to an infiniti dealership and I paid for them to do a 122 point inspection. Everything came back clean except the driverside window motor lol which I have read on this forum to be one of the first things to die in the car. I am getting the window fixed tomorrow.

22k for a car that was in an accident? I say pass.

For 3k more you can get my car with no accident, less mileage, and fully loaded. With warranty til Oct. 2011.

I know tons of people have modified G's on here. But in all honesty, if I were going to buy a used G, I'd stay away from used ones that were modded, let alone crashed. Crashed + modded is a double no for me...

I'm not against modified cars... but if I'm going to get into modifying, I want to do everything myself. That way I know EXACTLY what has been done, how the car drove prior to modification, etc etc. Even custom or non-factory wheels are a huge turn-off for me when I'm looking at used coupes.

For example, think about two 2007 Coupes, each with 22,000 miles. One has non-factory wheels, and the other has stock wheels. Over 22,000 miles, which car is going to have suspension components that are in better shape?? Keep in mind: even wheels alter how the vehicle was designed to perform.

On the other hand, many people will argue that modified cars can often times be taken care of more properly than non-modified cars because of enthusiast ownership....

A car after an accident will never be the same man. Keep looking. No warranty too? Stay away. Just look for a stock g35 coupe. You don't know how the last owner treated the car. Welcome to Driver too btw
