Broken Tabs on headlights
I'm thinking of doing some headlight mods and am looking for a set of headlights where if I mess them up I won't feel bad but if they look good I can use on my car. Esentially I need a dummy set.
My questions are why is that they almost always have broken tabs? Do they break off that easily on the g35? Do the bolts freeze to the housing? If all the tabs aren't intact will it really matter? I'm looking for an 03-05 set.

Yes, they are plastic tabs. You probably have to angle the headlight while taking it out, some people don't know that and put stress on the tabs and they break. You can always epoxy them back together and have them look fine.

yeah, i have no problem doing that except it seems they throw away the broken piece. I actually have a headlight repair kit specifically for repairing broken tabs as it was a common thing for my last car. If anybody knows anybody with a pair I would be interested. Just so long as they have the broken tab.
