yes you can but if your car is a auto you can't put a manual cluster in your car!

i've been waiting for someone to provide me a wiring diagram for a long time on how to do it. i have the gauge cluster and pigtail waiting. but since the 03 and 05 are wired differently i've put this project on hold.

^^

You NEED to search around. There are I think two or three threads on this forum alone that have wiring diagrams drawn up and posted. I'll try to find the one that I was looking at last night.

IMO this looks like a LOT more work than it is worth. In the end all you get are bubbled out gauges, milage on the display from the other car it was on, and quoted 8+ hours of work. I've put a lot of thought into it and it's just not worth it.

But if you have already purchased the parts I would say go for it. The milage being different would drive me crazy though.

EDIT:

Here's the link.. It's explained in detail in post #259. Read through that thread and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

No. The shape is completely different and it won't fit. Unless you want to do some SERIOUS custom fab work.

thanks bro. i can't wait to start picking this project up. i wish i knew where to find the male end connector in the 03 cluster so that i can make a conversion cable. that would make me feel a whole lot easier than cutting and soldering onto the 05 pigtail i have.
