1/2 MD Plenum Spacer and Engine Cover.

I've read in numerous threads that the oem engine cover will not fit back on, so my question is, is there an aftermarket cover that would fit on after the installation? thank you fellow wise-people

I guess after reading enough posts about how the OE engine cover won't fit after the 1/2" MotorDyne spacer is installed....you believed us. What I did was to order a 350Z CF engine cover from Riverside Infiniti 800-919-8130. That still won't fit perfect so you'll need to enlarge on side with a Dremel tool, only takes a minute. Caution....you'll need to add a few rubber washers under the back to make it sit right and DON'T OVER TIGHTEN the 10MM nuts.

The OEM engine cover WILL fit with MD's 1/2" spacer. You may need to invert the grommets, but it will fit. It will rub if you still have your hood liner, but that won't cause any harm except for a couple rub marks on the cover.

How do you like the 1/2 anyways? I just bought one cuz I got it used cheaper than a new 5/16. Is it just bigger gains top end?

Thank you wisemen for your comments. I was thinking about replacing the OE cover with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AQ:MOTORS:1123 I'll be keeping in mind what Gary suggested. Regarding the spacer, I haven't got the chance to pop it in yet. Still waiting for this cover to go through and grounding wires to come so I can install everything at once.
