Ford was free. And if I take it to a junk yard I'll prolly get like $100 for it.

Hm...I really don't know how to put this but since everyone already gave you $hit so I'm not gonna. LOL.
But yeah, yours will be high as #uck since you're only 16 with a luxury premium sports car. I would guess yours should be around $400/month if you're lucky.
When I was 20, mine was under my uncle's and and paid $240/month for an '02 Jetta. You won't have a break til you're 21 and another break til 25-that if considering you're a very good driver without having tickets, accidents.
But I wish you the best.

I bought mine when I was 16 (My money, still paying monthly payments $500 on it) about a year ago. Insurance is relatively cheap for such a nice car b/c it's classified as a luxury car. For me (USAA) it was 1/3 as much as an '07 GTi (turbos... ). However, insurance will be expensive for any car that you get, your 16 years old, what do you expect.

If your gunna invest in a car this nice, make sure you're self disciplined and ready to work your *** off. If your parents are buying you this car, go to hell.

Didn't really feel like reading all of the pages....

Expect to pay at least 300 bucks a month. Was paying that much on my ****ty 98 altima and I was 16. I hope you are working so you can help your parents. When I got my g is 24 I was paying 250 a month for full covrage. Now that I turned 25 I am paying only 120 for full coverage.

Sorry, I don't really have that much respect for people that don't have to work for what they get.

Now if your middle aged and worked your *** off and make loads of money, that's a different story, but if your in high school and mommy and daddy just said "Here's 20K buy a G coupe" then I don't like you all that much. Maybe Jealousy, Maybe just the fact that I believe hard work demands rewards, but that's just how I am.

Sorry if I'm sounding so ignorant, I guess saying "Go to hell" was a lil extreme, moreso of an aggressive joke.

im 19 and my premium is only $426/6months with full coverage and i had a fatty accident with another car back in october 08 which paid out 30k and the case is still undetermined whose fault it was.

my friend who is 18 and bought a 09 civic ex, pays $600/6months same coverage as me with no accident.

apparently, the State Farm agent was telling me that G35s are actually a lot cheaper to have insured than many other cars.

Not to **** on your parade, but these cars are cheap now.

He's picking up an 03 or 04 so he could very well be buying it himself.

And not to make you look like an *** but a large portion of the guys on this forum don't even own their cars, they are still paying them off! So middle aged or not they haven't paid for it.

What I'm saying is this kid could be financing a $15,000 car for the next 5 years.

I guess I should have worded it a little better. I find getting a loan and making payments to fall under "paying on your own"

I guess in a specific sense you are correct, but I should have been more clear.

Well when someone puts $1000 down on a car, I don't consider that owning it.

Sure it's responsible, but who is to say his parents aren't buying it and he's paying them back? (like a loan)

+1

downing 1k and financing the car doesn't mean you will keep it until the payment is cleared. I know a friend who downed 5k on a new evo mr and he ended having his car repos. cause he couldn't pay off his car.

For myself, i just worked about 3 months and downed 10k and only have 4.5k to pay off with 8% interest. When i bought my car almost a year ago, i was 18 and i thought 8% interest was low for my age. Only reason why i didn;t pay the car off in full was to build some credit
