Windows Rolling UP

Hey Guys.

For the past month my windows, on my 04 g coupe, will roll down fine. But, sometimes when i try rolling them up they get stuck.. I have to open and close the door for it to roll back up..What can i do to fix that...i don't want to spend money.

Thanks

does it sound like the motor is still running when this happens, like its getting stuck on something?? or does it just cut out completely??

what mine do every once and a while is they'll attempt to go up like a 1/2 inch then go back down... i try it again when i hear the faint "click" noise when the motor stops running, and it works... i think it might be by making it go up with auto but by clicking it too fast... (if that made any sense) idk what it is... but might be similar to what you're talking about

Your issue is the limit switch in the window motor is bad. When the window hits the top of the door, it thinks something is stuck through causing it to go back down. It's a safety issue so you don't lose a finger.
You will have to change the window motor or roll it up without using the auto function.

Try the DIY on taking apart your door and cleaning the motor. My window got stuck down & cleaning the motor fixed it perfectly. =] Try it out!
