Alignment Problems?

so apparently my G coupe eats away the inner tire, and i need alignment every 3 months? i have an 06. i went to beasly tire and they rejected me for lifetime alignment because of that, they said i will only get about 80% tire life unless i raise my car an inch...(WTF!??!?) and i said theres no way in hell im gonna raise my car an inch when im about to buy coilovers...?

I went to discount tire and they said that sports cars stand more on their toes for better handling which is why the inside wears out so quickly... I was just wondering if this is a problem or just how they are designed? If its my coupe specifically thats a little messed up? I cant afford to blow 250 on a tire every time i need to replace it after 30k. Will the dealer fix this? i have factory warranty. but they are *******s always trying to rip me off... camber kit will void my warranty also

suggestions please?

and i know im a noob but i swear i searched lol

Yes. However the lawsuit has been settled and did not compensate to any great extent for the misery that the Z owners have had to go through with their tires.

The solutuon to the tire issue especially if you have or plan on lowering your G35 is adjustable a-arms along with toe adjusters for the backside. SPL a-arms allow the most adjust ability regardless of how low you go....

Does tire feathering affect only lowered G35's? Or does it affect stock ones too?

^^stock ones as well, but not too rare and yet not too common. It's a given for lowered cars.

i think doing anything like that would void my warranty. do you think i could take it to my dealer and see if they can do anything about it? and have a credible explanation to go along with it so i dont have to pay for it? lol

This affect STOCK G's also. So be careful in the rain.

Tires need changing at around 12k. We're talking feathering and cupping.

Lower G's will also have inner thread wear issues. That can be corrected with a camber kit.

i wouldnt worry about it voiding warranty. keep stock parts and put them back on if you have to go to the dealer... or do you regularly go their for oil changes and such?

they feather from factory. we set the total toe up front to .18-.20 to correct this for the most part. when you lower your car your camber will get affected. adjustable camber kits will fix this. factory spec for total toe is .08.....like i said.....get it set to .18-.20 total toe. and just set the rear to factory spec and whatever camber you want it at

I seriously doubt by fixing an obvious OE issue any dealership would void your warranty. If we take our G35s back to the dealership and ask them why our tires are being eaten up and alignment doesn't correct the issue are they going to tell you not to put on adjustable a-arms to correct the problem? I've had my coupe to the dealership for warranty work and they don't say anything about my mods. I do however receive compliments from the service manager and mechanics about my coupe.

its not so much an issue. its just how the suspension is engineered. its an aggressive sport tuned suspension so it will wear aggressive.
