Well I've had my coupe for about 2 1/2 months now and I'm still waiting for my registration and plates. About 2 weeks after I bought my car I decided I wanted to get personalized plates and went online to order. They said it would takes up to about 3 months to receive them. Well last Wednesday I got letter from the DMV saying my personalized plates are in. Now I have to wait for the regular plates before I can get them. This is annoying, when I bought my wifes Durango, it took right about 2 months to get the plates. Oh well, I guess I'm just being impatient.

Why do you have to wait for the regular plates when you have personalized ones?

 

It's the same thing in my state (PA). You can't order personalized plates new. According to the application, you have to "trade-in" your "regular" plate in exchange for the vanity plate. <shrug>Don't ask why...<shrug>

California is now like this, in 2001 i ordered the vanity plates with the car. when i bought my G 2 wks ago i could not order the plates with the car, i hope i dont hear my personalized plates are in and i too have to wait :-(

Well since the NISMO name for INFINITI is going to be R-SPEC, I wanted to try and get that. Didn't happen. So then I said well my name is Ray, + -SPEC. So I ordered RAY SPEC. I thought it would be cool.
