Intake and exhaust and so on. Who really knows?

I see a LOT of posts about these things and hear lots of answers and not all of them are the same. My question is for those of you that reply do you really know for sure what your talking about? Have you seen a intake AEM,INJEN,POP CHARGER ect. in person? Or seen them differ on a dyno? Who knows for sure? My best friend owns a performance shop and I see a LOT of these parts. To me the injen, aem and nismo cai look the same. But yet I hear that injen is better. Why? Its the same size, and has the same kind of filter!
On to exhaust, I know a exhaust may give better performance because they are not all built the same. But when I hear someone ask about the sound of a exhaust a LOT of you jump in and say one is deeper then the other and so on. Where are you guys getting your info? Vids? Sound clips? If you reply to someones post on this maybe you should say where you've heard it.
The reason why I posted this is because I own a AEM cai and have seen many other intakes and to me they all look the same. I also own a Injen SES and its not raspy at ALL but I see a lot of you post and say it is. I just want to make sure you guys get teh right info!

is ur other username "gixxer"? just curious cuz ur sig has gixxer and i see another user named gixxer. similar rims too.

anyway, i agree with you on the intakes. only reason why i attempted to buy the nismo cai was for the bypass valve. it probably doesnt do much, but it's just something extra that other intakes dont have. other than that, they're all the same metal pipes.

We held a 17 car dyno day in CFL to answer the questions you're asking. CA just did a similar thing...

I say performance intake and exhaust don't make noticeable performance enhancement, they merely make more sound to give the perception of more power. Then again, I am only saying that because I ran out of mod money after the discount fog lights and sharpies.

Anyone knows where I can get Borla stickers for my stock muffler? Anyone?

I don't think any of those mods will give you enough hp to care about too much. there are differences of 1-3 hp between them. Just know that once you get a complete intake/header/exhaust combo, you will really feel the affect.

Most ppl just think that they gained hp because their car sounds louder making them believe that it is actually faster, when its really not.
