That looks great guys... why dont you guys just open up your headlights and paint the headlight.. If you do it right it looks like if it can stock that way.. i know because i did it to my 02 civic.. and you cannot tell its painted at all..

I'm wondering about the wear and tear also. But according to Bats the overlays are good for 7yrs. I guess I will let you guys know if the next few months or so it goes bad.

About opening the headlight and painting them. I chose not to do it. Just b/c it's time consuming and if I were to mess up that would be a couple hundreds down the drain. As to a civic it's cheaper to replace parts. Don't get offended I own a civic too. With the headlight housing painted. LOL

I ordered the overlay from blubatmobile.com but he is only offering the full overlay for our g35s' headlights. So what I did was order the full overlay and I cutted out the film/tint where it lays atop of the circular of the housing. The material overlays the headlights.

snboarder - my front grill/lip is a data systems.

I think it will be impossible not to leave scratch lines in the plastic lens.
I did my tails today and cut out the reverse lights.
Ok if I never take the off.

OldVFRGuy,

Did you use a exacto knife? Or a blade? The blade I'm referring to is the one you used back in highschool when you cutted the frogs in science. With those blades its easier to control.

Once you cut the trace all you have to do is pull along the trace. Granted the trace may be stuck that's when you have to help by cutting it little so it can follow the trace agian. If that makes sense. If I'm thinking your the same person I met at the last meet. Try to come to the Sept. meet at Gilly's on the 28th and I can tell you what I mean(If I can make it myself).

Roller.....
They are on and turned out ok.
I decided not to make any lines on my lens...
I traced the outlines and pre cut them before installing.
BlueButtmobile could easily do the same thing...but wouldn't.
