I just bought an '06 G35s 6MT sedan with 36K miles on it. It has not had it's 30K miles service. From what I am seeing on the boards it makes almost no sense to go to an Infiniti dealer for this service. What I am wondering is... if I don't go to an Infiniti dealer will it be more expensive to get the extended manufacturer warranty?

As long as you have the service completed by Nissan or an independent shop it won't effect your getting the extended warranty. I do suggest if you take it to an independent shop they use Nissan fluids/parts....and keep all your paper work as proof. 30K miles service is replacing all fluids along with the cabin filter. Chances are good the drive belt is in need of replacement too.... Good Luck!
