Hi, I have seen this beautiful M3 with less than 12,000 miles on it green in color with brown interiors, absolutely magnificant for about 44k, probably priced down to 40k or something...

but i love Gs and would like to get a used machine with less than 10k miles for 30k and mod it to the extend that i can keep up or out perform an M3? Is it possible? and if so what all mods would i be looking at and how many horses would i have to be pulling to do this miracle? also whats the time on the M3 for 0-60 and 1/4 as appose to the 6MT G?

 

for 10k you will SMOKE the crap outta an m3. You would def hafta go with a turbo or supercharger (I've always favored superchargers, but its entirely up to you). Do some searching on the forum and look in the engine mods section. BTW the m3 in stick does 0-60 in 4.8, while the g35C is around 5.7...so you have around a second difference. Green on an m3? LOL.

if you go for BMW M3, the resale is [censored] as hell! Do the research on M3 and you will find a lot of problems with M3. From what I heard that M3 have the engine problem. The engine gets too hot and it is not normal plus on top of that... resale value is crap. Infiniti is up there.. best resale value in the market. I would not touch BMW... i know it is a bootiful car as hell....but I wouldn't invest it. So, enjoy the research

em...resale value is not that crap for BMW, and only SOME of the 2001 M3s and 2003s have problems. Of course, the new 3 series are comin out, so the current E46 M3's body styling will go through a massive change with a V8 engine.

if not then how much does 6-7k worth of supercharging help G's time?

M3 resale is excellent, just look in autotrader or edmunds & you'll see used M3s resale value is very good.

BMW extended the warranty on M3s built during the affected production dates, 6 yrs total.
