Newbie Wanting a G

Ok fellas. Newbie here (Im new to the site, Do NOT own a G) Im looking to trade my 07 loaded maxima for an 07 g35 coupe. Ive been wanting one for a while now and my only concern is the wearing of brakes and tires every 15-20k. Sooooo......is this typically true and can you install a camber kit on a stock G to correct the tire wear issues

Thanks fellas and all comments are welcome!!

A stock G shouldn't have that much of a tire issue. A camber kit should not be required. Get an alignment. Tire life also depends on driving habits. My brakes last for about 20-25K but I use them hard on the weekends.

I have an 05, and its never ever broke down, only thing "needing" replacement was brakes at about 25K miles, thats about a 500 dollar job.

Really, it will be a little more work then your maxima, but only if you drive it harder (which you will ) Just when you buy the car, do some quick maintenance right away such as make sure you have fresh oil, possibly new tranny fluid, and differential fluid. Your coolant should be fine till beggining of 2012 (so don't worry, world will end then lol)

You're not a NEWBIE until you have a G parked in your garage! We don't have tire issues unless you buy cheap tires and don't get your G aligned. Maintance on our Infiniti's isn't any different than on your Nissan. If you're smart you won't go to the Infiniti dealership for service, Nissan charges less and their mechanics are better trained. Nuff said!

I've got an 08 Maxima and 04 G35 coupe.

Maintenance is pretty much the same on both, similar tire size, engine, etc.

If you don't need a sedan, I'd do the trade!

^Don't know about the maximas, but the altimas are lighter and FWD, I'm assuming less power loss to the wheels.
