Hit and Run, =/

Let my car on campus to go on a day ski trip. Left at 5am, came back at 8pm, to see my lovely passenger side with this. I

Insurance is a $500 deductible, should I find a shop, or just bring it to the dealer?

Dents in pretty bad in both front and back of wheel well. The way people act in this world just sometimes eludes my mind. Personally, I don't see how people can feel good about themselves ever. I hope something like this stays on their conscious for weeks, and eats at them.

That sucks man. To me it looks like more than 500$ worth of damage, so you'll probably be paying that deductible either way. So pretty much take it where ever you think they can get it done and get it done right.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'd be sick if that happened to me. Unfortunately whoever did that to your car probably isn't feeling bad about it. Instead they're probably sitting around thinking they're glad they didn't get caught. Sucks the world we live in today...

People are stupid as f*** sometimes man. I've literally watched someone in a minivan just cut the wheel completely to one side while in a spot, and just punch the gas. Front end swung directly into the side of the car next to her and scraped the hell out of it. She was about to take off until she realized there were about 20 people staring at her.

They might have to replace that rear quarter panel man. That already cost around 2-3k in damages. Same thing happened to me, but on my driver side. Its always sad to see damage on G35s

My damages were in a similar spot and included the rim and I got out the door with $2400 in repairs. They did not have to replace the rear quarter panel. They were able to fix it up just as good as new. That price included a brand spanking new wheel from Infiniti (not a repair or used wheel).

You probably have closer to 2K or maybe even 3K in damages, try and get a new quarter pannel and bumper if possible, unless your insurance company is just writing you a cheque, then do it right and pocket the rest.

Do you have a before and after pic? That QP looks TORE UP.

I would have went with a new QP. Instead of a bunch of bondo covering it. Unless they managed to straighten it out with a bunch of tapping.

Damn, that looks good. Can't believe they got the lines right after the hit. Anytime the lines of the car is hit, it's pretty damn hard to get the lines right.

I was thoroughly impressed with the work. They did tap it out a bit and then some bondo. I looked in the fender well and noted there were no holes drilled to pull it out. OP, find a good body shop that does more than simply fix cars. They need to have a couple custom jobs sitting in-house to make me more comfortable using them. That tells me they got some people with skills working there.
