Ballast or bulb????
Ballast or bulb????
so in short a guy was about to hit me and i jerked my car to the left and the driver side ran up onto the curb. when i got home the fender on the driver side was kind of popping out and the xenon bulb in my headlight didnt work but the fog light did. i have a 2005 coupe. should i replace the bulb or the ballast? is the bulb out or did the ballast take damage from the curb?
Try the easy part first, replace the bulb. Before you do anything, check the wiring make sure everything is plugged in and not broken. The ballist is screwed into the backside of the light housing.

Dont tell people wrong info, the ballast is underneath. You dont want him removing random ****. Its a metal box you cant miss it. I would think that your bulb may have popped from impact,if you have reflectors you may see microshards of glass in your housing just shake it to hear it.
Make sure the plug is still attached to the bulb. After driving on some rough roads I have had my driver headlight quit working twice. Both times the plug popped off the bulb! Luckily you can access this from the engine bay without removing the fender liner. Remove the cap off the back of the light and push in on the plug onto the bulb.
