5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

Hey 5at coupe owners. could u guys plz list your 1/4 mi times including your 60 ft. Indicate any methods u used (VDC, torque braking, MM) and the conditions (humidity, temp, altitude). Also list if you raced with any mods to obtain those times. I wanna see how my G compares to all of yours because i know what im running cannot be right.

What are you running? My fastest time was 14.21 at 100 mph. I did that at a track in gulfport ms in the winter. I'm a little better now with shifting in MM mode now my 1/8 are 9.3 at 78mph. I forgot my 0-60ft time was 2.240. I had at that time TS reflash, exhaust and stillen intake. I have since then added pulleys, high flow cats and grounding wires. I'm not sure of the elevation but it was cold out. I brake torqued in between 1200-1600 rpm.

Re: 5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

I know altitude plays a big factor in N/A cars. I went to LACR for the 1st time a few months ago and I couldn't even break into the 14's!!! I was like WTF? I then realized that the altitude was over 2,000ft above sea level and that's what made my car seem slower along with the heat. I also remember I raced on time with my VDC on and my times went from consistent 14.3's to 15.1. If you are at a lower altitude maybe that's your problem and don't forget the ecu reset it works just touch the negative and postive cables together for a few seconds you'll feel a difference. Good luck!!! Here is a couple of my times my reaction times are better now I was still learning at the time.

Re: 5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

14.5 @ 96mph
60' - 2.21
330' - 6.2
1/8 - 9.43 @75.9mph
1000' - 12.23

Coupe 5AT

W/19inch BBS RGR (Forged)
6MT Brembo Brakes
Z-tube

I know the brakes and wheels slow me down a bit, but I just put in a Y-pipe and I can feel the difference unlike w/ z-tube. So next weekend I will try to beat that and maybe switch to the stock wheels just to see the difference. What do you guys think of the times and how to improve. I brake torque around 1700rpm

Those are pretty good times considering you only have a z-tube. What rpm do you shift? I shift around 6600-6800 rpm since I have the reflash my rev limiter is 7100-7300 rpm. I know pulleys help out with the 5at it revs quicker. I noticed that when I had them installed.

I shift just before redline, I get better everytime I go. I just drag raced for the first time ever a few months ago. I was running 15's the first time out. Then a 14.8.. then 14.7...then 14.5 over the course of maybe 2 months. I

I get better times when I do a small burnout.

Gulfport is only a few hundred feet above sea level. There especially in the winter you could run some pretty decent times.

Re: 5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

hmmm ok ill reset my ecu and see what happens. im gonna lower my tire pressure to 25 psi or so. And hopefully it wont be so f'in hot. but altitude is against me big time. vegas is 2000+ ft above sea level.

Re: 5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

My best time at LACR with the altitude and heat was 15.05 at 93mph. Thanks for the info on gulfport I knew it wasn't that high above sea level and yes it was cold!! Good for the engine tho..

Vegas is about the same more or less as palmdale (LACR). There has been a few G's there and the times have been in between 14.7 and 15.5. So your times are about right there is a formula to correct for the altitude I'll try to find it for you.

Re: 5AT coupe owners- What are your 1/4 mi times?

I've been out a couple of times to Portland International Raceway with my completely stock 5AT. My best time so far is 14.599 @ 96.46mph, with a 60ft time of 2.255. Elevation in Portland is only about 25ft. above sea level, and the temp that night was around 75 degrees.
