Cleaning Engine Bay
Old (but clean) rags are a must, I use cleaner or detail spray. Take a few things off like engine cover and air inlet that way you can clean more areas. Don't forget underside of your hood, over the winter that gets dirty and water spotted...."Have Fun!"

Thanks alot for the responses. I'm gonna go to the hardware store and get sone rags and Goo gone. I'll post some pictures when I'm done. Thanks. Can I rinse it off with a hose after or is that a bad idea?
^If you are going to rinse off your bay with a hose just don't get any water on your air filter and be careful around the alternator, you don't want to spray a ton of water directly on it.
I just ordered a cold air intake so in not to worried about my current filter. But I'll watch out for the alternator. Thanks

Simple Green has always worked well for me. Hose down the engine bay ( be careful not to soak the alternator or the intake) spray simple green liberally. let it sit for 15 mins or so. Hose it off again and spray simple green again let it sit for another 15 mins or so then spray it down again. I never have to wipe cause i do it pretty regularly, every couple of months. Doesnt really build up for me. Good luck and have fun.
