Well, I knew I couldn't keep my ride in mint condition for long....over the weekend I was driving on the interstate and a rock (or something else) flew up and hit my front bumper right above the rectangle piece. I took it to my local body shop this morning and they told me that whatever it was it actually broke through the "outer seal". They recommended that they just paint it, but I was wondering if I should get the entire bumper resurfaced/redone...what do you all think? The place where it hit is quiet small, but I know its there. I hate that it happened, but should I also consider maybe that 3M clear film to prevent further dings?

If they can make it invisible by repainting it, that would probably much less expensive.
retret,
It is a thin mark about the length of half an inch....the bad thing is you can "feel" that it went through the "outer covering". Also, what can I take to get rid of this horrible nauseous feeling I have when I see it? The coupe is too awesome of a vehicle to have road debris hit it! ;-)

You should consider purchasing a bra for your car after you get the work done...they're kinda expensive (esp. the clear ones), but so is body work, and if it saves you from one chip like the one you had, it's already paid for itself. Just a thought
