What is a fair price for an '05 41k miles (minor accident)

Hello, new to this forum. Been in love with G35's for a long time now and finally have some funds freed up to get one!

Here is the link to the car to be exact, any help is definately appreciated! Id offer $16k

Thanks

Here is an '03 as well. A friend has told me to stay away from the 03's due to an issue with the electrical system shorting out the battery. Here is a link to it as well. Id offer $13k

I think both your prices are spot-on. I consider those pretty good deals for the years/mileage/condition.

prices are both about right, i'd opt for the 05 coupe cause its newer, you could probably get it for 16.5K, i'd pay up to 17K no problem, mine had 15K less miles and i paid 19.5K but no accidents on it at all.

Where are you located?

By my area's standards, that's a little high, but that's expected at dealerships.

I would try to buy from a private seller, it will be much cheaper.

It's most probably out of warranty:;

4 yrs/60000 miles - bumper to bumper
6 yrs/70000 miles - powertrain

It's not an electrical issue per se. The 03-04 radios are known to have a faulty control board that seems to crap out leaving the radio and climate controls inoperable. Doesn't happen to all of them but it affects quite a few. Most owners just replace with a DD afternarket radio and problem solved.

For used cars, my philosophy is always get the last model year.

Save up a little more and just get an 07. That way you know that the car has every single fix/upgrade/recall/tweak already done to it before the G35 was discontinued.

Major upgrades between model years are easy to identify.. but not so much the little tweaks (hardware or software) that only internal engineers would know about.

Id go for the 05. Its newer. But if possible take rimshakers advice and get an 06-07. Less problems.
