I wanna do a HID upgrade
Re: I wanna do a HID upgrade
in theory 6000K is a bright white/purple tinted color. the higher temperature such as 8000K should be bluer, while 12000 is hella blue. That's the case for BMW projectors ne ways, which should be the same for all cars...
Re: I wanna do a HID upgrade
Blackbody radiation at a temperature of ~5400K displays the most even band of light - meaning it averages out to the "whitest" look you can achieve with a HID bulb. If you have a lower temperature bulb, like 4600K, it will radiate more light in the lower portion of the EM spectrum, and you will get a "yellower" look. The higher the temperature, the greater percentage of the light is going to be in the upper range of the EM light band - blue -> indigo -> violet. From my experience, this makes the 6000-7000K bulbs look pretty blue, with 8000-9000K looking almost greenish (indigo) and 10000-12000K looking distinctly purple.
