metal plate under the bumper
metal plate under the bumper
Have anybody try put a customize fit cuta 1/8 in metal plate or aluminum plate under the bumper or lip to prevent scratching the ground. Since i have lip n planning to put coilover in the car. Im afraid it too low. I live in chicago so its pain in the butt getting in n out from the alley.
I just got my G35, but I used to have an 2g eclipse. The neighborhood I live in doesnt believe in the little ramp thing into your driveway. So going in and out of my garage I have to go up a stupid curb. I put cut out plexiglas on the bottom of the bumper held in by some small screws. It cost about $30 and then some time cutting the piece of glass but it worked perfect. It's just a thought tho. Something to try to save you some money and time. I know cutting metal is hard to do without the right tools.
Wow, that's too strange ya gotta drive over curbs to get in and out of your garage? Buy a case of beer and invite your buddys over and go to work with a 10 LB sledge hammer....problem solved! I've never seen a garage without a driveway, I must be new....

and they cant even build a normal driveway. Take a look at the picture below. Thats about as low as the curbs get here. I would tear it out but the stupid HOA would flip S**T and fine us up the A**. I'm just going to try to find a new house. Thats the only reason I havent even priced out coilovers for my new coupe. Its stock height and rubs like crazy going in and out of my garage.http://brianpetrelli.com/mlsData/images/827721a.jpg
i call a shop today n ask how much it cost me to cut the plate. The guy said its 3hr work plus material. 65 dollars per labor hr. So its gona cost me 200ish for a piece plate. U gota be kidding me.
