Exclamation Ipod interface for 06 coupe help

I've been doing a lot of searching on the forum and I can't find exactly the right ipod interface/integration? I have bose, navigation, and sat on the car. Would this one be okay? Or is this there another one that everyone uses? Thanks to anyone who gives some advice!

Well, I know some other people on here either bought that one or the USASpec version. Any other suggestions?

I have installed the factory ipod integration kit on 06 coupe with dealer-installed Sat radio (Sirius). It works perfectly with my iphone 2G. It charges it, track-skipping can be controlled from steering wheel and playing song title is displayed in Bose's stereo. The audio quality is as good as the CD player's. I added a write-up about it to the long thread on the ipod integration, currently found at the end of page 38: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...essful-38.html

Broadcasting music to the radio from the iPhone via bluetooth does not work in the G35. The bluetooth stack used by Infiniti only includes the Hands-Free profile, which allows for a mono audio signal to be broadcasted for phone calls, and the Headset profile, allowing for voice dialing, call ringing and changing call volume. It does not include A2DP, which allows for stereo audio broadcast. I think A2DP is included with the 2010 G37.

Is it safe to say that you need to buy the adapter for iPhone 3Gs in order to have full compatibility with iPhone and charging on the OEM one?

If anyone can confirm the Nissan/Infiniti adapter works without adapter (the one that plugs into iPhone dock connector), I am sold and will be picking this up today.

Here is the adapter I am talking about:

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'm leaning towards the usa spec if anything. Would it come with everything? Or would I have to buy the rest of the wiring for it?

I have the OEM kit and it does NOT charge the Iphone without that adapter. I have mine in the center console and it barley fits due to the size of the adapter and connector.

That is what I thought. Why can't Nissan just provide a firmware update that solves this issue. Uggghhh.

i just ordered a pa15-nis from usa spec and it has an iphone on the case, so it does support iphone, but whether or not it supports 3gs I haven't determined since I haven't installed the kit yet.

It's really Apple's fault. The factory integration kit charges the iPhone 2G with no problem, but Apple keeps mucking around with the pin assignments in the iPod/iPhone connector and disregarding backward compatibility.

I think it may have more to do with certification. Probably when the nissan adapter was verified by Apple the 3Gs was not out. They eventually get it, but will probably not update the old boxes. Oh well.
