Power windows in general have been around for quite some time now. Can any make a car that a power window doesn't fail within the first year!!!! rather it be domestic or japanese(I've never owned a german car) every single car I've owned has had a power window fail within the first year!!!!!!!damn it. Just had to vent

no problem for 10 months, but my driver side failed few weeks ago but got it fixed at the dealer. no big deal

seems to happen quite a lot on g's. do you know if they replaced with the exact same part (part #'s the same) or if it was a new design?

i replaced the window motor on my bimmer in the second year.under warranty offcouse.

 

The windows on the G are over-engineered. They took a simple process and tried to make it better (anti-pinch system // auto drop when door opens). I've put my windows up and down more then anyone else in the world most likely and knock on wood I haven't had a single issue yet. I have an 04 though, most of the problems seem to be the 03s....

I have a 04 and harldy put my window down and it failed on me last week. I have been driving a loaner car for almost a week now. Dealer had to order the part but it's taking longer than expected to get the motor in. According to them there is a backlog of power window motors. Apparently it's a common problem with the G.

my coupe's passenger window just started failing on me. The passenger window will roll down then not come back up. I have to slam the door to get the window to go up. I have to make time to get to the dealership :/

My driver side power window motor was replaced last week. I have had Nissans' since 1988 this is the 1st time it has happened to me. At least I got to beat up on a loaner car for the day.

Finally got mine fixed today.
It only took 5 weeks to get the part in.

Drove an auto sedan loaner.
Makes me love my coupe 6MT even more.

Golly, can't wait to do it again for the passenger side.....
