Center armrest broke

I posted this in the other forum but seen this one gets more activity.

First off, let me state that I'm an idiot and I broke my armrest. I have a 2003 G35 (AT). My center armrest will not close because the plastic piece that's attached under the arm rest is broke.

Circled in red is what broke:

Will replacing the arm rest itself solve my problem? I'm just hoping I don't have to replace the entire console.

Thanks for any help.

And here's the actual picture of my arm rest, and the damage that was done, lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my interior is Willow, right? Just so I know when I go to buy a new one.

Yes, your interior color is Willow.

I'm positive that replacing the armest will fix the problem. From the pictures, it appears that it's just misaligned and won't lie on top of the console?

Yes, it is misaligned and also won't close, because the plastic piece (circled in red in post 1) is broke. So it just hangs about halfway down.

Thanks for the response.

I ended up buying a new arm rest from eBay. Ran me about $60. The arm rest itself is easy to replace. Just 4 screws. It took about 5 min to install the new one.
