LED Help!! ASAP
LED Help!! ASAP
Hello,
I am in need of a help regarding my front lighting situation. I recently put led's in both my clear corners and the side makers on the headlights ( i have the old gen headlights) after doing that they blew a fuse behind the battery. Once I replaced this fuse after searching for hours everything seemed to work great but last night the lights went out again. Checked all my fuses and everything seems good. The clear corners, side markers, interior clock light and the taillights running lights dont work! WTF Please help!
Thank you
Austin

They are a five led that i had bought through Marinelli Motorsports. They are the same bulb in the headlight side and in the clear corners. Im going to do some more investigating tomorrow. I also sent Marinelli Motorsports a message asking for help. If you have any idea's y this is happening please inform me!
I bought them from this website on the marketplace section. They are pretty close to the 5 led wedge bulbs just a different name brand. M-motorsports just sent me a message and told me to check all fuses and disconnect the battery. https://g35driver.com/forums/accesso...d-halogen.html
Disconnected the battery and rechecked every single fuse to ensure they were all the correct amps and that they weren't blown and still no luck. Please if anybody can share an insight please do. Could it be a relay?
ok put the stock bulbs in and see if it works correctly without blowing the fuse.. than if there are no issues then plug back in your LED bulb into the socket remember there if you put it in backwards as in (-) into the (+) then it will either not light up or when u turn on the lights it could blow the fuse. hmm. and make sure that the fuse is in the proper fuse box and correct fuse number it should be a 10amp fuse. but if it all fails then i would reccomend u returning the bulbs and getting the bulbs from V-LEDS. thats where i got all my bulbs from and never had a issue.
oh if u are using the LED as turn signals then u gotta get Load resisters

This doesn't sound like a bulb problem since more than just the bulbs he bought from that vendor went out.. I've personally bought quite a few bulbs from that vendor, and they're all fine to this day.. Didn't cause any issues.. However, a fuse has been blown in my ride before as well, and I didn't have the issues that you're having. I simply replaced the fused, and all worked fine again.
Have you done any other electrical mods? Added an aftermarket stereo system? grounding kit? anything like that recently?
Does the car turn on, and all the interior lights turn on? It's only those lights that you stated that are out?

+1 ^^
I have purchased items from Marinelli Motorsports in the past and have received nothing but excellent products and phenomenal service. I highly doubt the problem the OP is having is related to a faulty product. MM deals with only quality merchandise, they don't sell cheap ****!!

Also, don't worry if you put the LED's backward, its a diode so if its backward it just creates an open and will NOT blow a fuse...it just won't light up.
