Thanks for SC help!

I should mention I know this isn't a Toyota forum, but I've been visiting this website pretty much every day since the coupe came out. The thing is though, I want an '04. I also waited a year to buy the Sequoia when it came out. I wanted it from the first picture I saw in a magazine, but waited patiently. I already have a dealer and sales person lined up for a 6MT as soon as the '04s are available. Eventually I'll be a legit member of the G35 Coupe family. :-) Peace!

Any particular reason as to why you are waiting, or is it just the fact that it is a 04?

Nowadays first year cars are much better than they used to. But I think if they find any bugs they'll normally have them fixed by the 2nd and 3rd year. If you look at Consumer Reports' charts for problems encountered, you'll see how models have less problems with the years. My 02 Sequoia had the anti-skid system re-tuned cause it was too sensitive in 01. I have a 1st year Maxima (00) and by 01 they added memory seats, auto rear view mirror and radio controls on the steering wheel. Nissan is very dynamic updating and correcting problems. By 02 they had bumped the power from 222 to 255. As you might know they changed rims on the 00 Maxima SE and the Infinity badge on the G35 sedan after production had started. So all that leads me to believe they'll quickly fix any bugs in the Coupe. I have recently heard of some transmission problem. I also hope they add the drilled metal pedals and change the position of power seat controls and add memory seats. Based on Nissan's passed history, it's definitely quite possible. We'll see ... I have my fingers crossed and my check book ready. :-)

He's right about that, first year production usually has 'bugs" in them. I had a 99 328i BMW and had nothing but problems, lots of recalls, malfunctioning radio (Harmon Kardon radio), the wheels were always going out of alignment (could have been my harsh driving though) and other countless “little problems” such as malfunction memory seats and keyless entry system. But I haven’t had problems like those in the G35c. I couldn’t wait either I just had to have a G!
