Coming home last night about 1:30 am I pull up next a '03 Porsche Carrera 4 Carbio. No cars around empty streets so I look at the guy and give the pedal a pop. He gives me this snobby what are thinking look at and looks away. I was thinking ok nevermind when the light turned green and he floors it. Ivy League Bastard, heh.

So I launch the best I can not even having a chance to turn off VDC. I was able to stay with him through 3rd gear but then the porsche just seemd to take off and pulled 3 or so car lengths. I think it was an auto too which is lame but didn't realize that car was so fast. Thought it had relatively the same HP and and weight as the G.

I was wrong it being a crybaby when I got home I looked it up on porsche's website. 320HP? 0-60 in 5.2? Opps, he he. It was still fun though. All I have to say is now I need a TT system! One thing though is the Carrera 4 a Turbo? Peace.

No the Carrera 4 aint a turbo but it does have AWD and the 4S Carrera just looks like the turbo. The one that is a turbo is the Turbo and GT2

Funny thing happened to me once but on the other End. Some porche pulled up next to me in my 300ZXTT wanting to play and I had looked over and was like um you sure you want to do that..

Needless to say I'm glad I have the mods I have on the car =)

i would say that that is an EXCELLENT showing for your car. You hung with him for 3gears, good job. Considering he's a porsche and is 3x as expensive as a G, i say good showing

Not to start a fight but 99atlantic the cost of 3x as much as a G35 usually means better build quality not speed. I am sure if you put the same build quality into the g35 it would easily go over 50K just like an M3 or similar.

 

Porsche's are sooo sweet. I will never forget the time I saw a silver GT2 on a street near my house, and I just happened to be in my dad's Z06 (one of the few times I got to take it out). He wanted to play, and he gunned it away from me and took a left at a light. He would never slow down to let me catch up to him, which would've been awesome cause the street we were on is in a residential neighborhood and it has a stop sign every ~200 yards. You cant take a porsche. Especially when its a auto too.. no skills required. Full throttle all the way man. its a freakin porsche. You can take a boxter but thats about it.

Carrera 4 s is only a 4wd but man a 911 is a 911.. You cant hang with it man.. dont even waste gas. But funny thing I once did a boxter with my sisters bmw 328i. the guy chose the wrong lane and lost to me hahaha..

My other sis has a carrera coupe here.. man its one sweet car. but for that money.. I can get almost 2 G35's [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] One little tweak and the G35 will outrun the porsche. Just go get a SLD from hks and a safc from apexi. mix some richer air/fuel and you will be in a whole new terrain. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Porsche smorche, he he [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]. I just wanted to test my skills with a stick. I didn't really think I could stay with him but what else is a sports car for? It was a fun little stunt. I live in Belmont Shores, Cali. So my area is full of exotic sports cars. I always mess with them, it's just fun cause some guys are just snobby about it. I didn't buy my car for the little symbol on the back, I bought it for the fun. It cools too cuz' sometimes these guys are a little surprised that the coupe is pretty quick. Some day and a TT system later maybe I'll be able to put a little more "gulp" with their throats when I kill that E46 M3 or Carrera 4 sittin next to me. Until then I'll keep teasin em' Muahhahah! he could be manually shifting it and slip it into N instead of D. I did that once in my last mustang- thought it was in 2nd (when it was actually in drive), stomped it and upshifted...haha, imagine my suprise when I bashed righ toff the rev limiter. I was like WTF?????
